Everything you need to know about comparing and enrolling in Nigerian HMO plans.
A Health Maintenance Organisation (HMO) is a company accredited by the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) that manages your health cover β you pay an annual premium, and the HMO settles eligible treatment at hospitals in its network.
No. We are an independent comparison and referral platform. Cover is provided by the NHIA-accredited HMO you choose; we help you compare plans and enrol. We do not underwrite policies.
You answer five quick questions (household size, budget, state, any conditions, and priorities). We filter plans that fit, rank them, and β where you disclose a pre-existing condition β route your profile to a licensed physician for review before enrolment.
For pre-existing conditions, a physician-in-the-loop check helps make sure the plan actually covers your needs and that expectations around waiting periods are clear. It is a safeguard, not medical treatment.
Premiums are indicative and sourced from public information. Always confirm the exact premium, benefits and waiting periods with the HMO before you pay β plan terms can change.
Use the Hospital Network Checker to search facilities. Coverage by specific HMOs is being verified β until then, confirm directly with the HMO that your preferred hospital is in-network.
Enrolment payment is processed securely via Paystack. You are charged the plan premium shown; your policy activates once payment is confirmed, and you can download a policy certificate from your account.
Refunds are governed by the HMOβs own policy terms. Contact the HMO or reach us at ceo@omnialera.com and we will help you follow up.
We minimise the personal data we store and follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act. See our Privacy Policy, and you can request access or deletion of your data at any time via the Data Deletion page.
